The SOIS FT, Orqa and CTT consortium has launched a three-year research programme on soft magnetic composites.
On 1 September 2026 the implementation of the project Development of innovative, environmentally friendly soft magnetic cores by powder metallurgy technology – GreenMagCore (PK.1.1.13.0002) began. The project is carried out by a consortium of the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Defense and Security University as coordinator, Orqa d.o.o. as industrial partner and the Center for Technology Transfer Ltd. as research partner.
Over 36 months the consortium will develop new soft magnetic composite materials (SMC) by powder metallurgy – materials with lower energy losses, higher efficiency and better service properties. The project is co-funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021–2027.
The first months will see the set-up of the Materials Characterisation Laboratory at the University, a state-of-the-art analysis and the definition of industrial requirements with partner Orqa.
